We were in the Park August 3-21. We were in the 3rd meadow at Slough creek for 3 days. Fishing was phenomenal, bugs not too bad and there was a resident bull moose. Buffalo rut started when we got back to the front country. Two bulls died in fights 100 and 300 yards off the road in Little America resulting in a week-long grizzly bear and wolf show. People got WAY TOO CLOSE to the grizzly. Saw a lot of Sloughs. There was a momma griz and a 2 year old cub making regular appearances in the Lamar. Then somewhere around the 18th there was another carca_ss near the Druid's old rendevous site in the Lamar and the entire pack showed up; spectacular. Another incredible August in the greatest place on Earth!
