I will have more photos, but lots of bison doing the rut thing in Hayden...big elk bulls hanging around Canyon. Tons of geese and pelicans along the Yellowstone. Crowds were down considerably, as were sales, as usual when the kiddies go back to school.
I will be back in Yellowstone (at Canyon) again this weekend. 30-31 to enjoy the Labor day rush.
No trip reports. I worked most of the time up there, so it was just evenings. I did get to watch a grizzly eat on a bison kill out in Hayden Valley...all to myself since it was a good 2 miles off the road. A bit scary, but I was at a good safe distance. Photo tomorrow.
