I can't tell you how many times I've seen people climb over the barriers; sometimes I say something (to which the usual response is, "mind your own business" and sometimes I don't. But I always wonder if they think the people who erected the barriers and warning signs did it just for fun, or just to be bureaucratic and irritating, and that they, casual one-time visitors to the park, actually have an adequate understanding of the conditions and risks on the other side of the barrier? It happens every summer, sometimes fatally.
