Pat, I have been there during the last two weeks of September in the past and it was nice. I saw both bears and wolves, and the added highlight was the elk rut. If you haven't seen it before, it is worth the visit, and the crowds are minimal. Although visiting the Park in early June is still the best with all of the new births taking place.
