You can get water from the Merced all the way up to the final fork in Little Yosemite Valley. There's a spring near the top of the saddle between Little Yosemite Valley and Tenaya Canyon where you can top off your water for the last (hardest) part of the hike. Have a great time! That's a wonderful hike!
