Which Campground?

In August we will be staying at Canyon Campground and then moving to either Slough or Pebble, hoping to spot some wolves. We'll prolly spend five nights at whichever campground we move to, and we'll use it as our home base to explore the Northeast portion of the park.

Which campground would be best for this purpose?

What other must-see sights or must-do activities (hikes, etc) are found in the northeast part of the park?
